About Me

I’m Del Ray Zimmerman — coach, teacher, and fellow stormwalker. My life has carried me through chaos — love, loss, family upheaval, career changes, betrayal, rebirth. I’ve navigated through storms that shattered everything I thought I knew, and I came out with something rare: the ability to find calm in the middle of the chaos and help others do the same.

I’ve been guiding people as long as I can remember. Friends, colleagues, and even strangers have always found me — as if Spirit hung a neon sign above my head that reads “safe space.” While I am once again navigating big life transitions, I’ve decided it’s now time that I offer what I’ve always done innately in a professional manner. Providing spiritual guidance is what I judge to be my calling and my true life’s work.

Up til now, I’ve primarily worked in the non-profit sector, most recently serving as the director of the Vanderbilt Program for LGBTQ Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (2019-2025). 

​

I’ve also walked a concurrent path, engaged in years of conscious inquiry and study of spirituality. I give deep gratitude to my primary teacher, Bobby Drinnon, who guided me on my own journey for 13 years. Much of what I teach today is inspired by Bobby (who passed in 2014).

But my greatest credential is life itself — the chaos I’ve lived through and the joy I’ve reclaimed. I believe storms are not mistakes. They’re sacred initiations. My purpose is to help you navigate them, so you can emerge not just healed, but radiant, sovereign, and unshakable.
